Il film non è niente di che, ma Michael Douglas è inquietante come sempre e la tremenda scena centrale con l’inseguimento e l’omicidio di Andy Garcia vale la visione del film. Che è in fondo solo una scusa per ascoltare Greg Allman che canta I’ll Be Holding On. Proprio lui, uno dei fratelli della Allman Brothers Band, il gruppo rock-folk che ci ha dato un disco come At Fillmore East, uno degli album live più trascinanti mai pubblicato.

Anche se Piero Scarruffi non condivide, uno dei gruppi anni ‘80 che preferisco sono i Waterboys. Non ho idea di quante volte ho ascoltato il CD di Fisherman’s Blues, secondo me il loro capolavoro assoluto (non mi dite che cito sempre le pagine in inglese di Wikipedia, basta confrontare questa con la versione in italiano per capire il perché).

Jaron Lanier, uno dei pionieri del web, in una recente intervista a Riccardo Staglianò su il Venerdì di Repubblica sostiene che “il web sta uccidendo la classe media”, distruggendo industrie che fino a pochi anni fa fatturavano miliardi di dollari – l’industria musicale, quella della fotografia, le agenzie di viaggio, le librerie, i giornali – sostituendole con nuovi servizi che “impiegano un millesimo dei dipendenti della old economy”.
